Review of Neighorly Complications by Anne Conley

I read Neighborly Complications (Stories of Serendipity) by Anne Conley. I give it a 5. It was a great book when I was reading it time just flew by.  Be warned it is a little steamy between the two main characters Claire and Max.  So Claire just moved in to this home that she inherited from her uncle and the reason she chose it was the rumors that there was gold buried there.  She gets there and she gets into trouble her first day and that is when she meets Max.  Max is her neighbor who is a good looking widow.  There is instant attraction between the two of them Max wants to see where it will lead them but Claire is the jilted bride and not looking for a relationship.  So Claire goes about starting to remodel her house and look for the gold but it seems every time she turns around there is some new danger and Max is always there to save her.  Does Claire finally give Max a chance to heal her broken heart read to find out?  I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Review of Venus Rising by Celia Kennedy

I was asked to read Venus Rising by Celia Kennedy for an honest review.  Akshaya is a beautiful and intelligent art professor at the University.  Jared is at the University for a year to be a guest teacher to talk about all his travels and his books.  From the beginning they are attracted to each other but you soon find out that they both have scars that cause problems for the two of them.  The characters go through a lot of emotional ups and downs they keep you guessing to the end.  The author does a great job with the details of the places they have been and the problems that have made them the way they are.  I would give this book a 4 star just because it was a little slow in the beginning but once you get past that you get drawn into the book.

Review for Charotte's Restrained by Celia Kennedy

I was given Charlotte’s Restrained: Book 1, The Accidental Stalker by Celia Kennedy for an honest review.  The book is about a woman Charlotte who went on a holiday with a bunch of her girlfriends and celebrity Des Bannerman is there as well.  Des Bannerman is her favorite celebrity so she makes it her job to run into him while there.  Well she finds him they talk and there are pictures taken of them completely out of context.  So while nothing happened all of a sudden Charlotte has a restraining order against her and she doesn’t know why.  She goes about her business and life trying to put this behind her she meets a very cute Irishman by the name of Liam.  She and Liam are getting along great when the Des situation is brought back up again.  What happens next, you will have to read and find out? I found this book to be confusing and it jumped around quite a bit.  I give it 3 stars

Review of His Desire by Shelia Kell

His Desire by Shelia Kell
I was gifted this book for an honest review, and I have to say honestly that I had a hard time putting it down.  FBI Agent Kate Ross and her partner AJ Hamilton are the best of friends; the only downside is that she cannot stand AJ’s brother Jesse who co –owns H.I.S. or Hamilton Investigation and Security, Inc., with the rest of his brothers.
Unfortunately a case has brought Kate and Jesse closer together than she ever wanted to get.  This story has so many twists and turns that it will keep you on the edge of your seat.  Just as you think you have figured out who the killer is you are completely wrong.   Don’t get me wrong there are plenty of sex scenes that will leave you wanting more.
Now I could go into more details but should I??  This is a must get and read but as a warning make sure that you do not have any interruptions or you just might end up killing someone yourself.
Happy reading.

Looks Like Trouble To Me by Calinda B

Blurb: "Last name's Savage -- it means wild and uncontrolled," Jace, a party boy, yacht builder and skilled photographer with a quicksilver temper, tells the pretty waitress at Chica Rios. He's desperate to get laid, but there's something in the way of his driving, overactive libido and the girl standing before him - trouble...big trouble, and a whole lot of it, from the trustifarian prick who works by his side, to his messed up twin sister, to the secret hiding at his house.  He sets out to woo Zoé Dubois, keeping her away from his trouble at home, encouraging her to let go of her inhibitions and live "Savage style," riding with him on the back of his motorcycle, exploring the great outdoors in a variety of oh, so delectable and naughty ways.  He ends up with way more than he bargained for. He uses his sexual experience to teach Zoé how to surrender, and his strong will and single minded focus to get his way with her. But it turns out she's the kind of woman who demands the truth...and that's just not the way he rolls. She leverages his love for her to get him to let her into his troubled world and tender heart - something he's stubbornly determined to protect. Their passionate, erotic, romantic connection keeps them bound together while the trouble he brings threatens to tear them apart at every turn.  Mature content for an audience of 18+. The first in a two part series.
Excerpt: “Sorry you had to wait so long,” Zoé said with a shrug. She set the stout in front of Jace.
“Didn’t mind a bit,” he said. “I enjoyed watching you work. You’re efficient, fast, and friendly.” He held up his dark brew to her.
She lifted hers, clinked his, and sipped her ale.
“And sexy as hell,” he said, gazing over the top of his glass at her, his eyes dark.
She felt another flush creep up her neck and cheeks. “What are we toasting?”
“First encounters. The thrill of discovery. I love to explore new things.”
Another rush of pleasure flooded her insides. “I’ll drink to that.” She took another swallow. “You seem to have an effect on me,” she said courageously. Stop it. You’ll get yourself in trouble.
“Is it a good effect?” he asked.
“Maybe,” she stated simply, fiddling with her fingernails, all good sense suddenly hijacked from her head.
“Are you wet for me?”
“What?” She practically spit out her beer. Wild jungle drums and dancing heathens now accompanied the ache between her legs. “You’re bold,” she replied, feeling ripped apart.
“Are you?” His green-eyed gaze pushed into her. “Wet, that is?”
“Guess that’s on a need to know basis,” she said, feigning a coolness she did not feel.
“I need to know. Because I’ve been sitting here with a hard-on for you for two hours.”
Her entire body surged with heat. “Jesus, who gave you the keys to the bulldozer?”
He chuckled and licked his lips. “Maybe it was you.”
“I don’t think so.” She pressed the cool glass against her cheeks. “It’s hot in here.”
He drained his glass, setting it on the table with satisfaction. “Finish up and let’s head outside where it’s cooler.”
“I don’t think that’s going to help,” she whispered.
AUthor Bio:
The Fun Part: Calinda B was told early on that she should be a writer. She heard frequent praise for her writing, as well as her sense of humor. Scoffing at such admonitions and praise, she went on to pursue her life of adventure, chock full of the things that make up a well-rounded adventurous life: music (yup, she was a singer in a rock and roll band), dance (even performed hip hop in Russia), rock climbing (ever hung from a rock wall a few stories up? Yikes!), fire walking (taught high-ranking Moscow fire officials how to walk the coals), kayaking, scuba diving (she's in love with sharks), travel, and falling in love again and again.
Living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with the love of her life and her two cats, she has now chosen to put fingers to keyboard and write - when she's not in pursuit of another adventure!
The Daily Grind: College educated and life-experienced, Calinda B has worked in the world of computers and technology for a long time. Before that she worked in the world of health and fitness, as well as art. Throughout her career she has relied on her writing abilities to write articles, ad copy and web content.
