EXCERPT

“Get out,” I order. “Get out. Now!”
My heart beats faster as I look around for something to use as protection.
“That’s no way to talk to me,” Troy speaks calmly as he takes a step forward.
“Stay there!” I scream. “Don’t you dare come any closer.”
Thinking quickly, I drop the glasses I’m carrying on the floor and they smash. I hurriedly grab a broken piece and hold it out in front of me, pointing it toward Troy.
“There’s no need for that.” Troy looks to the weapon in my hand. “Put it down, I’m not going to hurt you.”
“My friend will be here soon, so you should go unless you want to be arrested,” I threaten.
Troy then laughs and I frown. “You mean, Paige?” He laughs again.
A chill spreads throughout my body, I don’t like the sound of that. “What have you done?”
“The stupid girl loves male attention doesn’t she?” he adds.
“What have you done, Troy?” I shout.
“I gave her the attention she wanted, told her to keep quiet because nobody would like her getting close to a guy like me. I didn’t want you to see me because then you’d ruin my plans. She bought it all, the dumb bitch.” He laughs some more. “She was with me today and I gotta say, she comes a close second to you Crystal. So if this doesn’t work out, I might have to take Paige instead.”
“Leave her alone,” I order, beginning to shake. “Leave us both alone.”
“That isn’t going to happen,” he threatens. “Tell me, did I make you believe Paige was actually coming?”
I begin to feel sick. He said he was with Paige. Did he send that text message?
“She is coming,” I insist, still holding out the broken piece of glass toward him.
“No Crystal, she isn’t. In fact, she won’t be going anywhere.” He laughs.

Scorch by KT Fisher was a great addition to this series.  I have loved this series from book one the author pulls you in with the characters.  From the start the guys of the band are more like a family then friends the all complement each other with their personalities.  You get wrapped up in the stories and you feel like you are hanging out with your own friends as you continue to read the books.  This book is Crystal and Booker’s story and what has been building in the other books is finally revealed.  I couldn’t believe what Crystal had been through that she was still this great loving girl that was worrying about everyone else.  Booker is all man once he found out what was in her past he promises to take care of her and he doesn’t think any less of her.  Let’s just say that the two of them together are Scorching.  Can’t wait to see where these characters go next.

Review Teacher by Heather Dahlgren and Ella Emerson

Teacher by Heather Dahlgren and Ella Emerson I a scorching HOT read.  Let me just say I started this book and I couldn’t put it down until it was finished.  First you have Trish a beautiful 18-year-old senior who seems like she has it all and knows where she is heading that is until she runs into Levi.   What happens when sexy stranger becomes your fill in teacher.  Watch the chemistry and sparks fly in this book you won’t believe some of the twist that these authors but the characters through.  Can’t wait for the next book.

Review: Playing Pretend by Tamsyn Bester

Playing Pretend by Tamsyn Bester was a great read the book just really moved along.  I loved the chemistry between Kadence and Caleb and how they had a past that now affects their future.  I love Kadence and that she doesn’t take shit from no one including Caleb it was good seeing that all her struggles from the past have made her strong you are so rooting for her to get her happy ending.  Caleb is the arrogant asshole that you HATE so much but you just can’t help but to LOVE him especially when you see the way he treats his baby girl.  Sometimes when you play pretend it gets real and you forget that it was never suppose to be that way to begin with.  Well that is what happened to these characters until truths start coming out.  It really is a great book  that I recommend that you read.

Review: Progress by Amalie Silver

Progress by Amelia Silver is the first book I have read by this author.  Let me just start by saying that this book is a cliffhanger and I will be waiting to read the next book.  Charlene (Charlie) and Jesse are such complex and twisted characters that you can’t help but read the book just to see how things turn out.  Both of the characters alone deal with mental anguish that they have made coping devices for instead of handling their issues.  This book is not a light and cheery book it makes you stop and think about what people who have gone through these issues and that have these problem go through on a daily basis.  I have to say that I did love seeing the growth that Charlie did through this book and that she was finally able to except things about herself and realized that she can love herself.   I can only hope in the next one Jesse figures out how to truly love and grow in his own way as well.

Review: Heart of Steel by KE Osborn

Heart of Steel by KE Osborn had my heart racing and mind turning from the beginning of the book I could not put this book down needless to say that I did lose sleep because of it.  So this book isn’t just another good girl falling for the bad biker boy it is so much more than that.  So Steel is your bad boy biker with a quick and bad temper but he does have a caring heart when it comes down to family and those who he protects or needs protection.  Willow (Flame) is a pretty and innocent teacher who is instantly drawn to Steel and wants to believe that there is good in him.  I liked that most of the mc group teaseling harassed Steel about his sweet and innocent teacher.  I can’t believe all the crap that Steel and Willow have had to go through with her accepting what he truly is and still wanting to be by his side.  To Steel having to deal with both outside forces and things in the club trying to pull them apart at every turn.  I so can’t believe how this book ended I need the next book like now.

River Scott is the daughter of a billionaire. She runs her father's company and does what she is told, including cleaning up after her out-of-control, socialite, wild-child baby sister.

After a tragic night fifteen years ago, River feels she has no choice but to continue on the path of being the good one, keeping her sister in check and always pleasing her father.

She's in a dead-end relationship, but all she wants is love, passion, and sweep-you-off-your-feet excitement.

Because of her sister, she meets ex-male escort, Damian Matthews. Their attraction is by far like nothing either have experienced. He gives her everything she wants and so much more.

Unfortunately, this is not the guy River's father would approve of. He approves of Ryan Lane, a wealthy, successful playboy who is ready to settle down and start a life in politics. She knows Ryan is the smart choice, but no one makes her feel like Damian does.

When River starts dating Damian, a set of events are put into motion changing everything she thought she knew about her family.

Can River get what she wants without losing everything and hurting the one person she has sworn to protect for the rest of her life?

This is a standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual situations, this book is meant for adults over 18.

River Scott and Damian Matthews are the two main characters in this story. I am not one to go into the whole story and give all the details away because I hate spoilers, but I will give you all a little something. This is the first story that I have read by this author and I was not disappointed. She gives her characters depth and true emotions and really makes me feel as though they are people that I could easily relate to in the real world. I was able to travel along with them as they continued on their journey. I found that the back and forth of the two main characters in the story made for a rather interesting read because it felt like a banter between a couple going back and forth, especially since the two main characters were involved with each other. This book had me hooked from the very first sentence and that is saying a lot because I was in the middle of reading another book and I stopped reading it to read this one after reading just that one line and I did not stop until I finished the entire book(in one night). I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves a romance between two unlikely people who totally deserve their own happily-ever-after ending!!!

My true passion is romance with some suspense and mystery. Giving my readers a reason to turn the page, with edge-of-your-seat thrills.

I love to write about sexy characters, alpha males and strong females. No matter what my story entails, know that you will leave with a warm fuzzy feeling and a HEA always.

Real life, well, let's face it, can kind of suck sometimes. Full of stress and so many depressing things happening in the world. Reading is a way to escape the pressures of real life. This is why I like to give my readers a promise of a happy ending.

In life I think the simple pleasures are the ones that make the difference: coffee, wine, and a good book, to name a few.

I also love all animals, a soft spot in my heart for elephants. And of course, my fur babies. Two miniature dachshunds that make me smile every day.

Review: Wrong Side Girl by Julia Goda

Wrong Side Girl by Julia Goda is the first book that I have read from this author but I can tell you that it won’t be the last.  I loved the fact Lizzy and Cole have been friends forever but they both think the other is too good for them.  You have Lizzy who is a sweet girl that comes from a rundown area with a mother who don’t care and then you have Cole who is her protector and comes from money but still has a mother that don’t care about anything except social status.  Let me just say once Lizzy and Cole decided to get together the scenes where HOT and steamy the chemistry between the two was great.  This book took some twist that I was definitely not expecting which kept me on my toes and the book interesting.  Can’t wait to see what this author comes out with next.

Review Angel's Halo: Reclaimed by Terri Anne Browning

I have been waiting for Jet and Flick’s story since I read the very first Angel’s Halo.  So let me just say Angel’s Halo: Reclaimed by Terri Anne Browning was everything I hoped it would be and more.  I loved the fact that this book goes back and includes the events in the first two books and how it crosses over with the Rocker series so that you can see what was going on with Jet and Flick during those events.  My heart broke for Flick hearing her whole story from the beginning I don’t know how she stayed so strong for as long as she did.  As for Jet he is your alpha bad boy all the way that doesn’t realize what he had till it is gone but is possessive and will use whatever means he needs to keep what is his.  I love the Hannigan family and can’t wait to read what happened to the rest of them.

Review Inked on Paper by Nicole Edwards

So I have to say that Inked on Paper by Nicole Edwards is a completely different book then what I am use to reading by her but it was fabulously done.   I loved the way that the story flowed and how there was kind of two stories in one, the story that Nicole was writing with Presley and Jake and the story that Jake is working on for his next book.  I loved that Presley looked like this hard ass with her pink hair, tattoos, and piercings but was really a sweetheart that is use to keeping her heart safe from people.  Then you have Jake who looks great and seems like a player but still a nice guy who actually turns out to be a dominant and possessive man who was just waiting for the right woman to claim.  Reading this story between the two of them and how their feeling and perspectives change was great to read it shows how thought processes can change in a minute with any couple.  Of course this wouldn’t be a Nicole Edwards book if there wasn’t a ton of HEAT which there was both between the characters and in the story that was being written.  All in all this story moved along quickly I couldn’t believe that I was reading and the next minute it was done and I had no clue how the day had passed so quickly truly a sign of a good book.
