BOOK SYNOPSIS

Princess and her six brothers once lived in a land cloaked by a spell of innocence. Their lives changed dramatically when their father took a new bride with malicious intent. Valentina, an herbalist witch and proprietress of the Swan Club, a club which caters to royalty, dignitaries, and the social elite, has placed the brothers under a spell of hemlock, and enslaved them at the club.
Princess must rely for help on the alluring and mysterious huntsman Erich, himself a victim of Valentina. She must infiltrate the Swan Club and gain Valentina’s trust to rescue her brothers. Her adventure will come at a high price, including the loss of her innocence. But with this loss comes the possibility of love, and a new freedom which causes her to question whether the life she once treasured, was actually her bondage.

EXCERPT

Near dawn, Erich led Princess through the forest until they arrived at the gates. Behind was a large and foreboding dwelling. Valentina’s Swan Club. “This is where we must part, Princess.” She looked into his handsome face in the low light of dawn, and tried to imagine what he once looked like when he was a man. “Not forever?” she asked quickly. “No, I will come to you soon enough. Will you be ready for me?” Her heart fluttered beneath her breast, and the warm, vibrational hum between her thighs once again began its tune. “I will be ready and waiting for you. Don’t be too long though. I already miss you.” His expression pleased her. Yet she felt he was not quite finished with her at that moment.

Eve of All Hallows - Teaser 3
I think I will enjoy my time here.
Very much.
I’m taking in that magnificent view while I swirl a glass of red wine. Sometimes a girl gets lucky. It’s well past midnight now, but I can’t sleep. Beyond the beauty of my surroundings, of the warmth on my skin this late in the year, is the sound of the sea. I am truly alone in my own little nirvana. No one knows where I am, and I don’t care.
There’s a flash of movement from the corner of my eye. Maybe I’m not as alone as I thought. My heart flutters a little. Then I see him walking the beach towards the water, under the great moon above. My magnificent view just got even more spectacular. He’s fully naked.
My attention is riveted now as I sip my wine. I can’t see a lot of detail in the darkness, but I can see he is tall, with long hair. Nicely built, and if my eyes don’t deceive me, well-endowed as well. Now, this is a very interesting development.
I watch as he enters the water, and I shiver just a little as if my own skin was touched by the cool waters. He disappears momentarily beneath the dark sea, and emerges, throwing back his long hair. I know I should look away, I should respect his privacy, but I cannot. I am a voyeur in my own little world.
I’m not really sure how much time I spend watching him. Perhaps only a few minutes, maybe even an hour. He emerges from the waves, a mere silhouette now in the moonlight. He stops and looks straight to me. My first reaction is to want to drop to the floor. But my mind tells me he cannot see me in the darkness.
So, if he cannot see me, why does he stare in my direction?

EXCERPT

Looking into the mirror, he wondered what Rory saw when he took off his sunglasses. Her initial reaction had been similar to most people when they saw his eyes for the first time.
As a child, he was viciously teased for having what the kids called “vampire eyes.” They were eyes he would never have wished for, but inherited from his mother. His eyes were so green and sensitive they hurt when exposed to bright sunlight without sunglasses, further purporting the rumor he wasn’t really human, but some kind of vampire or creature from space. But he was a man, pure and simple. The blood running through his veins was red like everyone else.
All he wanted was to find a nice comfortable life and enjoy it to the maximum, and if he could find someone special enough to share it with, so much the better. But with this want came a nagging fear. Having lost his mother so early in life and sharing a distant, even guarded relationship with his father, he wasn’t sure he knew how to love anyone in the way they needed and deserved. It wasn’t because he was cold or cruel; he honestly didn’t know how to express his emotions, and that scared him.
How could you sustain a relationship if you didn’t know how to make someone happy, or live up to their expectations of you? His parents barely tolerated each other’s presence until they divorced. Even though he was young at the time, it stuck firmly in his memory how unhappy they really were, and how they made every effort to make each other as miserable as possible, before they finally separated.
